Get ready for the all new Hyundai i30 Tourer

Is it a station wagon? Is it a compact station wagon? It sort of looks like an Elantra, but it’s the newly revealed Hyundai i30 Tourer. The Tourer was highlighted at the Geneva Auto Show and is considered a Hyundai wagon.

Will it come to the U.S. auto shows? Will the i30 come to CardinaleWay Hyundai in Corona, California, your Hyundai California dealer? It’s anybody’s guess.

Availability

The i30 is already available overseas, but here in the States its closest sibling is the Hyundai Elantra GT. Though the #Hyundaii30 probably isn’t going to be sold in the United States, it’s predicted pricing would be in the low $20,000 range if it was. That would make for a very low Hyundai car payment. And who knows? It could happen.

Where Would A Wagon Fit In?

The i30 Tourer would be a coup to the Hyundai line of cars, that much is certain. It’s been five years since Hyundai has offered a wagon in America. That was the 2012 Hyundai Elantra wagon which offered a family friendly vehicle with lots of interior room and economy car sizing.

Under The Hood

The performance of the Hyundai i30 Tourer relies on its three powertrain options: A 138-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder and a 109-horsepower turbodiesel 4-cylinder for even better gas mileage. The Tourer is also offered in a 118-horsepower turbocharged 3-cylinder and manual or automatic transmissions.

CardinaleWay Hyundai offers a great selection of new, Certified Preowned and used Hyundais, along with excellent servicing. And, while we won’t have the Hyundai i30 Tourer any time soon, we have a wide array of great Hyundais that fit not only your lifestyle, but also your budget.

Hyundai Finishing New i30 N

hyundai logo 4

Hyundai is completing their i30 N. This vehicle is said to be right on track to compete with vehicles like the Ford Focus ST and the Volkswagen GTI. This model is the first vehicle developed by the N division. The N division is primarily focused on developing performance vehicles.

Hyundai released a short teaser that gives us an idea of what we should expect from their all new design. The vehicle is thoroughly disguised as to not reveal too many features, but you can see the muscular outline. The i30 N sports a model-specific grille and a deep front bumper. The styling of the i30 N will be translated into other designs of N division vehicles in the future.

The Hyundai i30 will be displayed at the Paris Auto Show in September. The i30 N will not be released until next year, and is expected to be shown at the Geneva Auto Show. Both vehicles are expected to be received well based on the positive responses from enthusiasts.

Hyundai’s latest development has pushed them to create innovative new technology that helps them create high quality vehicles. If you are interested in viewing the latest vehicles Hyundai has to offer, visit Hyundai of Corona. For more information about our inventory, check out our website.

Next Generation Hyundai I30 Caught With Camouflage

i30

Though there have been plenty of pictures of the Hyundai I30 earlier, all of them had disguised or heavily camouflaged a few of its cue lines. However, some recent pictures have revealed what the new generation I30 will look like.

This particular I30 was discovered hauling a small-sized trailer at the Alps and it appeared that it was being done to test the model’s powertrain. As of now, there are no details of the details of the powertrain possessed by this specific model. It is also observed that the vehicle is a single exhaust hence it could be still the 2.0 Not Applicable.

A new facelift has been given to the vehicle’s front and though it was known earlier too, this time it could be clearly seen devoid of the heavy camouflage.

A fresh bumper design along with a smaller grill has the earlier design but its proportions are much smaller. However, its emblem has been made much bigger this time around.

I30’s headlights have also been updated and their sizes have been reduced in comparison to its earlier generation. There are two new projectors right next to the vehicle’s high beam shroud. Even the fog light of the vehicle has given an entirely fresh look and design. It combines the fog light on its bottom and the DRL on its right side.

The rear occupants of an I30 are likely to have greater headroom as compared to its previous generation vehicles since the roof line and the window size have been altered.

Hyundai’s new generation of Elantra GT/I30 is supposed to be unveiled by 2017.

Hyundai Takes its Latest Hot Hatch to the Nurburgring

Hyundai N Hot Hatch

In 2015, Hyundai announced its N performance division that would concentrate on developing performance versions of various Hyundai cars. The division plans to take on the M4 with a sports coupe (N-branded) in the future, however, as of now, the division is working on turning the i30 into a hot hatch. 2016’s Nurburgring 24 Hours endurance race will see Hyundai testing the new version of i30, the i30N.

The company is planning to enter 3 cars in the race, a Veloster, an i30 (regular one), and an i30 mule fitted with N’s powertrain and engine. The race version of the car will feature a widened body, race-spec steering, and a racing suspension, however, as of now, the company has no plans in incorporating these components to the production version.

Hyundai Elantra GT’s European version is the i30. Hence, it makes sense to hope for an N-branded Elantra for the US market in the future. While it is not confirmed by the company yet, what is confirmed is an Elantra Sport version for the American market. According to Hyundai, the Sport model will generate a horsepower of 200, and it will feature a sportier suspension than the regular one.

The current Elantra available in the US is indeed a competent compact sedan, however, it lacks the driving excitement that theMazda3 or the latest Honda Civic provides. The Sport version would indeed up the excitement factor, however, what would drive the excitement level right through the roof would be an N-version of the car.

Additional Spy Shots Surface of the Hyundai i30 N

Hyundai 2 Additional Spy Shots Surface of the Hyundai i30 N

Hyundai’s high-performance N division had its public debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show, so CardinaleWay Hyundai in Corona is excited for what types of vehicles are going to be developed in the future. There have been new spy shots that have surfaced of the i30 N compact vehicle undergoing testing on and around the Nurburbring in Germany. We can tell that this is a high-performance version of the i30 because it is equipped with a front spoiler, lowered suspension, more air intakes, and enhanced brakes. It is expected that there will be a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that will generate over 200 horsepower and reach 60 mph from a standstill in less than 7 seconds. The i30 N is likely to have a version that will make its way to Hyundai’s World Rally Championship team.
