2017 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid : Go Green at Hyundai of Corona

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017

The 2017 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is the fuel-efficient counterpart to the  standard Sonata sedan at CardinaleWay Hyundai in Corona, CA. It delivers a long list of standard features, the same smooth ride plus a comfortable and spacious interior.  The Sonata Hybrid takes fuel efficiency further than its Sonata counterpart with a hybrid powertrain rated for 40-plus mpg. This Sonata model is a well-rounded and affordable hybrid sedan.

The Sonata Hybrid Overview

The 2017 model is the second year of the new generation Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. This vehicle features a roomier interior and more traditional styling of the recently redesigned regular Sonata and has a sturdy platform. This model boasts an environmentally friendly, new hybrid powertrain for enhanced fuel economy. Hyundai includes a long list of features with this year’s model, including a new 7-inch high-resolution touchscreen display standard on all models plus audio, entertainment and telematics upgrades. There is also an optional 8-inch touchscreen available.

Fantastic Fuel Economy

The Sonata Hybrid’s primary appeal is its fantastic fuel economy. Design features to reduce the Sonata Hybrid’s fuel consumption include active air shutters behind the grille, special alloy wheels and a streamlined tail.  These changes enable the base Sonata Hybrid SE to return an EPA-estimated 42 mpg. The Sonata Hybrid provides you with the same sought-after advantages of the standard Sonata including a roomy interior, a smooth ride plus a green-car solid value. The cargo space is generous in this hybrid, a feature that usually forgoes the trunk area to accommodate battery packaging.

Plug Into Style And Comfort With the Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid

Monday, June 26th, 2017

With the Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid, the advantages are obvious. You can plug in this midsize sedan to an electric wall socket and get 27 miles of pure electric range. Combine that with a solid 39 miles per gallon in hybrid mode, and the result is 99 miles per gallon equivalent. Come see us at CardinaleWay Hyundai in Corona, a Hyundai dealer California. We’ll show you how you can combine modern styling and a pleasant drive with incredible fuel efficiency.

Powertrain and Driveability

The #Sonata Plug-in Hybrid offers the same features and traits as the base Sonata, including a roomy interior, a satisfying driving demeanor and the same long list of standard equipment and features. With its combination of plug-in capability and traditional Sonata strengths, the Hybrid plug-in is a rock solid pick.

Trim Levels

The Hyundai Sonata Plug-in is available in just two trim levels: the base and the Limited. You can feel assured that if you pick the base trim level you are getting almost everything the Sonata has to offer. And probably most of the features you likely want like a big touchscreen interface, keyless entry and ignition. At the base level are a power driver seat and heated front seats. But of course if you are super safety conscious then you are going to require forward collision warning and lane departure warning. You’ll have to step up to the Limited for these two nice features.

The Electric Wave

If you’ve caught the wave, come take a look.  Our other Hyundai electric vehicles like the Ionic Electric, the Ionic Hybrid and the Ionic Hybrid Electric are great efficient choices and a great low Hyundai car payment or you can look at lease options, too. The choice is yours at CardinaleWay Hyundai. Or, visit us on the web at www.CardinaleWayHyundai.com.

99 Miles Per Gallon: Hyundai Sonata Plug-In Hybrid

Thursday, June 15th, 2017

If you haven’t driven a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, come test drive the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid at #CardinaleWayHyundai of Corona California. In practice, as the name suggests, the Sonata plugs into an electrical outlet or battery charging station, but the lithium-ion battery pack is five times larger than the one in our regular Sonata Hybrid. This gives the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid a far-reaching range of 99 miles per gallon equivalent when you consider the solid 39 mpg in regular traditional hybrid mode combined with the added range when fully charged.

Overall Solid Pick

The Sonata’s Hybrid engine makes it a strong choice. The combination of the Hybrid’s plug-in capability and its traditional internal combustion engine give it unparalleled worry-free driving. No more anxiety about the range of an all electric car because when the battery is depleted the gas engine goes online. And, you can bring your Sonata Hybrid in for a regular oil change Corona CA.

Comfortable And Quiet

The Sonata Plug-in Hybrid has a six-speed automatic transmission that we like because it provides a more traditional feeling when shifting. It accelerates to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds which is about average in the class, but, oh, what a quiet ride even at highway speeds. The ride is smooth on all road types and will get you to your destination without wearing you out.

Catch The Electric Wave

Tuesday, May 30th, 2017

Have you test driven one of the electric vehicles yet? You should. The EVs are the hands-down most efficient vehicle on the road anywhere. And the #HyundaiIonic has just been named the most efficient of them all! At CardinaleWay Hyundai in Corona CA, a Hyundai dealer California, we are proud to be a leader in the electric car movement, and invite you to catch the electric wave and test drive one today.

Hyundai’s All New Ionic

CardinaleWay Hyundai offers a line of electric vehicles to choose from, but the Ionic is a scene stealer. It is the first time we’ve offered three completely different forms of one model. Along with the Ionic Electric are the hybrid version and a hybrid plug-in version. All feature the same sleek styling; so the only decision to make is which version works best for you?

How Efficient Is The Hyundai Ionic?

Pretty efficient. The technical rating for the Ionic is 25 kWh used per 100 miles driven (the lower the kWh number the better). But what that means in today’s terms is about 124 miles per single charge or 136 miles per gallon. That’s pretty efficient.

Ionic Efficient On the Inside Too

We saved the best for last as the strength of the Ionic really rests in its space efficiency. There is no lithium-ion battery pack to maneuver around because the Ionic stores its battery pack under the rear seats freeing up useful space not available before. And if that’s not enough, having the battery stowed like it is keeps the Ionic low to the ground, resulting in even higher drive efficiencies.

Come Test Drive The Ionic Today

We know if you drive the Ionic you will love the Ionic. Come let our expert team of sales and finance professional show you how really affordable the Ionic is. As one of the more affordable EVs in the market you could drive one away today with a lower Hyundai car payment than other models.

Hyundai Hybrid Breaks Land Speed Record

Wednesday, November 16th, 2016

Hyundai Ioniq

The record for the fastest hybrid on earth has been shattered. A modified Hyundai Ioniq was clocked at 157.825 mph, the fastest a hybrid has ever traveled on land.

To achieve this impressive feat, engineers at Hyundai made notable changes to the newest Hyundai hybrid. The largest change was the addition of nitrous-oxide, which allowed a huge boost of power. The team also removed the air-conditioning. While this may seem insignificant, the record was set at Bonneville Salt Flats, which is in the middle of the desert. We hope the driver was not too hot during the monumental run.

Engineers at Hyundai really wanted to demonstrate their dedication to pushing the limit with hybrids. It also shows the durability and versatility of Hyundai vehicles. We are thrilled to see what Hyundai will come up with next!

If you’re looking for a new or pre-owned vehicle, we hope you’ll come see us at CardinaleWay Hyundai.  You can also check out our entire inventory at www.cardinalewayhyundai.com.  We want to be your dealership!

Hyundai Creating Eco-Vehicle

Thursday, September 15th, 2016

Hyundai 1 Hyundai Shows Dedication to its Customers

Hyundai is currently in the process of creating a hybrid, plug in electric and hydrogen fuel-cell cars. Hyundai hopes these vehicles will compete with the Toyota Prius. The Hyundai Ioniq has yet to appear in dealerships, but some of the models are expected to appear before the end of 2016.

Eco-friendly vehicles have been known to do well in California. Hyundai believes if their new eco-friendly vehicle can make it in California, it can make it anywhere else. They believe that incentives won’t draw consumers in California because it is a sophisticated market. Other companies like Tesla are based in California.

The Ioniq will be available in three different platforms. These platforms include a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and an all-electric. The hybrid model will be on sale beginning in 2016. The all-electric version will be available in California before the end of 2016. The plug-in hybrid edition isn’t expected to arrive until 2017.

Hyundai is constantly producing quality vehicles that their consumers love. Vehicles like the all new Hyundai Ioniq will be a great new option for drivers looking for an eco-friendly car. If you would like to check out a new Hyundai, come visit us at Hyundai of Corona. To view our current inventory, take a look at our website.

The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Performance Specs

Wednesday, March 16th, 2016

2016-hyundai-sonata-hybrid-ext-13-LED-tail-lights-download

2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is powered by a newly designed 2L 4-cylinder engine. It uses regular gasoline to run and provides GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) for efficient and smooth acceleration. The efficient cruising results in improved fuel economy. The engine is integrated with an electric motor. It generates a power of 193 horsepower. The car features a 6-speed automatic transmission. Energy generated from regenerative braking is stored in a lithium-ion battery pack mounted in the trunk. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the SE is 40 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway, 42 mpg combined. For the Limited, it is 39 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway, 41 mpg combined.

The lithium-ion battery used by the new Sonata Hybrid is one of the most efficient batteries available in the market today. It uses a polymer gel as the electrolyte. This allows for a lighter and thinner casing. It means more interior volume. The battery discharge is also much slower than other batteries, in order to maintain the available power for a long time. Sonata Hybrid uses a fully integrated HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) system. It helps to provide optimum power. The car switches seamlessly between electric mode and gasoline mode in order to deliver power efficiently. Primary charge energy is delivered to the lithium battery by the gasoline engine. Supplemental energy is delivered via regenerative braking system.

Sonata Hybrid features DMS (Drive Mode Select). You have the option to choose from 3 modes. Sport, Normal or Eco. DMS adjusts the transmission, steering calibration, and the engine to optimize your driving style.

Visit Hyundai of Corona to check out the new Hyundai Sonata Hybrid.
