Hyundai decided to beef up the i20 Sport hatchback for the German market with a focus on performance. Under the hood of the i20 lies a 1.0-liter Kappa T-GDI three-cylinder engine that generates and output of 118 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. The hatchback is able to sprint to 60 mph in just 10.3 seconds. It may not seem fast compared to other high-performance vehicles, but those types of numbers represent a fast vehicle for the class it is positioned in. The fuel efficiency of 47 mpg can be credited to the small displacement and direct injection. Aesthetic features include a black rear diffuser, split roof-mounted rear wing, extended side skirts, racing-inspired livery, and a new front bumper. A new suspension has lowered the vehicle by 22 mm, so the i20 looks even better when sitting on the set of 18-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels. For an initial price of $21,600, German consumers will be able to get behind the wheel of the i20 Sport hatchback. Although the i20 Sport is not in the U.S. market, CardinaleWay Hyundai in Corona has other incredible Hyundai vehicles that you can experience today.
