Ontario Hyundai Shoppers Find Room and Comfort In The 2019 Hyundai Elantra
The 2019 Hyundai Elantra is a compact car that’s offered in sedan and hatchback body styles. The Elantra is popular with customers of the Hyundai dealer near Ontario, thanks to its smooth ride and an exceptional amount of cargo space. The driver and passengers enjoy the Elantra’s comfortable seats, as well as the high build-quality of the cabin. And the Elantra’s refreshed styling adds plenty of curb appeal, with an attractive new front end and redesigned taillamps.
Ontario Hyundai shoppers demand the latest technology equipment, and the 2019 Hyundai Elantra doesn’t disappoint. The Hyundai SmartSense safety suite comes with forward collision avoidance, lane-keep assist and driver attention assist. SmartSense also includes safe exist assist, a feature designed to ensure the driver and passengers stay safe when they exit the Elantra. Most of these features come standard on all models other than the base SE trim.
The instrument cluster gets an update, while the top trim levels, Limited and Sport, get new wheel styling and a wireless charging system for compatible electronic devices.
The Automotive Press Praise The 2019 Elantra
The automotive press gives the 2019 Hyundai Elantra high marks. Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com wrote: “Just two years after launching an all-new model, the 2019 Hyundai Elantra gets an extensive makeover. The compact-sedan market changes quickly and Hyundai is determined to stay on top of the competition. ... the updated Elantra takes a more sophisticated approach, placing an emphasis on style, luxury, safety and as always, an unbeatable 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Beneath its seductive new skin, the Elantra remains unchanged, offering the same roomy interior, engines and suspension as before."
Suspension duties are handled by MacPherson struts in the front, while the rear gets a specially tuned torsion-beam rear axle. This setup delivers a smooth ride, even when the Elantra drives over bumps in the road. All Elantra models feature a standard six-way driver’s seat, and most models get standard cloth seats. Opt for the Limited trim and you’ll be treated to a power driver’s seat and leather upholstery. The top-line Sport trim comes with standard bucket seats and front bolsters.
The 2019 Hyundai Elantra seats five passengers and comes in six trim levels, listed as SE, SEL, Value Edition, Eco, Limited and Sport. Front-wheel drive is standard across the lineup.
There are three engines on offer, depending on the trim level:
The SE, SEL and Limited get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that develops 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, paired to a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional six-speed automatic.
The Eco is powered by a 1.4-liter turbo-four that makes 128 hp and 156 lb-ft, teamed to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The Sport employs a 1.6-liter turbo-four that puts out 201 hp and 195 lb-ft, connected to a six-speed manual transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
Hyundai’s AVN 5.0 infotainment setup now has an optional 8-inch display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available. The Elantra’s radio is now more user-friendly, with easy to use presets that allow the driver to change stations at the touch of a button.
