2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport - Hyundai Dealer In Riverside County

The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is a small crossover that seats five. Not to be confused with its big brother, the Hyundai Santa Fe, this CUV receives kudos from the automotive press for its solid performance as well as its long list of standard features, many of which you can’t find on a car in this segment. One aspect of the Santa Fe Sport that customers at Hyundai Dealer Riverside particularly like is the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Also high on the list is Hyundai’s legendary warranty.

The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport gets updated front and rear styling for 2017. Also new are a number of revised features, including a bigger 5-inch standard display, height adjustment for the power passenger seat and an optional 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto. New safety features for 2017 include an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree multiview parking camera, adaptive headlights with automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control with automatic emergency braking, and lane-departure warning.

All this adds up to equal a winning combination. This is what Kelley Blue Book wrote:"If you’re looking for a compact SUV with more style and features than a Honda CR-V or Nissan Rogue, the 2017 Santa Fe Sport SUV from Hyundai delivers an impressive combination of comfort, safety features and performance.”

The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is available in base, 2.0T and 2.0T Ultimate trim levels. Front-wheel drive is standard on all models, and all-wheel drive is available. All-wheel- drive models get Hyundai’s Active Cornering Control, which uses torque vectoring to improve stability and traction by sending power to the wheels with the most grip.

Powering the base trim is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 185 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a standard six-speed automatic transmission. The Santa Fe Sport 2.0T gets the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder mentioned earlier. This block pulls down 240 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque and is teamed with the six-speed automatic.

Hyundai made sure the latest safety equipment graces the 2017 Santa Fe Sport. Standard safety gear includes side airbags for the front seat, side curtain airbags, traction and stability control, antilock disc brakes and a rearview camera. Also included is Hyundai’s Blue Link emergency telematics system. Blue Link features emergency assistance, remote access, geo-fencing and theft recovery.

The Santa Fe Sport gathers accolades in crash testing, too. The NHTSA bestowed it’s highest rating of five-stars for overall crash protection, as well as five stars for frontal- and side-impact protection. IIHS gave the Santa Fe Sport its top rating of "Good", in all crash tests, while the available forward collision mitigation system received the highest rating of “Superior.”

Driving the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is a joy. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine easily put the Santa Fe Sport in the same league as competitors like the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V, but the 2.0-liter turbocharged powerplant takes the Santa Fe Sport into another dimension. The ride is firm, smooth and responsive when taking turns.
